Pakistani fashion designer zaheer abbas took the big step by finding a life partner in Mehwish Ghayas. Although a man off the glamorous fashion world, he kept his marriage ceremony simple and low key.
The nikah took place at home. Abbas, during the course of his interaction with the media talked about how this selection came about. He said “We are neighbours.
My mother would often visit her house, she really liked her. Though Mehwish had often seen me, I had never met her in person till some time back. You know how busy these doctors are.”
While talking about his favourite and special one, he stated that his wife Ghayas had recently completed her MBBS and is all prepared to begin a house-job at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi. “It’s a completely arranged affair. My mother chose her for me!” he said.
On the Marriage day, the groom & bride chose the dresses made by Abbas himself. While mehwish donned a white gharara which was done up in aari, zardozi and resham work, intricately hand-crafted, Zaheer Abbas himself wore his self designed white kurta, waist-coat and shawl. The designer hopes that the readers and viewers will say a kind prayer for their marriage to be successful.”
