The Golden Globes is synonymous with couture, high-end designers and glamour. Hollywood stars have their favourite designers on speed dial so there’s not many excuses for celebrities to get it wrong on the red carpet. But they do. The Golden Globes saw stars shun the comfortable and safe cuts and colours and instead, saw many attempt at being bold. However, while it worked for many, there were some who fell short. You would usually put Sarah Jessica Parker on making the best dressed list, however the Divorce star went a bit too far with her white gown.
Sarah Jessica Parker
With sleeve drama and milkmaid braids, was a bit of a caricature for the prestigious occasion. Nicole Kidman told the whole world that she wanted to have some fun at the Golden Globes, but her flirty silver McQueen frock was on the gaudy side. The silver sheer floor-length gown flashed a bit too much skin, with the draped sleeves.

Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran was there to co-host on the red carpet in hot pink gown by Dolce and Gabbana and shoes by Dsqaured2. But it definitely screamed high school prom rather than Hollywood awards.
Emily Ratajkowski
Gone Girl beauty Emily Ratajkowski tried too hard in her canary yellow gown. Daring to bare some skin, the brunette star got the tone wrong as she crossed the fine line of sexy and brazen.
While the colour was stunning and ready for spring, the tie detail revealed a bit too much skin teamed with her thigh-high split.
Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka Chopra rocked a dark lip at the 2017 Golden Globes, and it’s a hit with her fans! (For the record, we are included in that group.) The Pantene ambassador and Quantico star walked the red carpet wearing subtly champagne eye shadow to match her gold dress. Even though her gown was a statement, it was her vampy lip that caught our eye. Priyanka played up her pout with a super-’90s brown color with a hint of cranberry. It looked gorgeous against her skin tone. We also need to give a shout-out to her slightly feathered yet bold eyebrows.
