Amid the separation rumors of the Bollywood power couple, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have shut down rumors of an apparent divorce. At a recent appearance at an event, Ranveer Singh desired to work with his wife Deepika Padukone again while the latter left a spicy comment on the Simmba actor’s recent Instagram post which was reciprocated by Ranveer.
In his recent outing at the FICCI summit, Ranveer spoke about his relationship with his wife and Bollywood’s leading star, Deepika Padukone amid the rumors of all not being well in their relationship.
Singh who dated Padukone for nearly six years before getting married in 2018, never shies away to express his utmost love and respect for his partner, and he certainly didn’t miss a chance this time either. “Touchwood, we met and started dating in 2012, so 2022 is ten years of me and Deepika,” the Bollywood star can be heard saying in the clip doing rounds from the event.
“She is one of the best things that has happened to me and am so grateful for her in my life. I have nothing but the utmost respect for her and I admire her a lot. I have learned a lot from her in my personal life too,” the proud husband gushed.
When further questioned about them sharing the screen space once again – given their hot duo which churned out titles like ‘Goliyon ki Rasleela: Ram Leela’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Padmaavat’ – Singh responded by saying, “The last time I performed with Deepika in depth, was in 2014-2015.”
Recently, however, rumors of trouble in paradise were rife and fans were worried over gossip about an apparent split. It all began when a Twitter account by the name of Umair Sandu claimed that the pair has been at wit’s ends and are about to call quits. The aforementioned tweet shared a major reason is touted to be Padukone’s struggle with mental health.
Deepika Padukone, who has been vocal about her struggle with depression, was recently taken to the hospital as well after she collapsed while shooting on the sets for an upcoming film. A couple of weeks ago, a similar report was circulating around the internet after Deepika was admitted to a hospital following uneasiness.
The emergency occurred when Deepika had been with shooting her upcoming film, Project K, with Prabhas. She was rushed to a hospital in Hyderabad where she went through a thorough check-up by the doctors. This further added fuel to the fire.
However, SpotboyE later snubbed the gossip mill of the couple’s separation and shared that all such reports of the couple’s split are ‘fake and baseless’.
No divorce on cards for Deepika, Ranveer
A source close to the actors revealed to the publication, “The viral tweet in itself is fake and that it is done from an account that is not verified.” The insider added that they are trying to reach out to the user to find out why he spread the wrong information about the couple. Action is expected to take against the user Umair Sandhu, whose bio says he is a member of the overseas Censor Board.
Ranveer is now waiting for the release of Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus. He will also be seen sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The actor was last seen in Jayeshbhai Jordaar which did not perform well at the box office.
Deepika Padukone was last seen in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan. The film also starred Ananya Panday and Sidharth Chaturvedi. She will now be seen in Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan, Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, a film with Prabhas, and another with Amitabh Bachchan.
