Fahad Hussayn Couture showcased ‘Hoshruba: Dara Shikoh Aur Sunehri Churail’, a bridal couture collection as the grand finale for the seventh edition of PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week. The collection delved into the world of magical realism where historical figures meet folklore in a fantastically penned saga of larger than life Mughal grandeur.
The story encapsulated in ‘Hoshruba’ depicted a parallel universe of current time and inherent taboos and notions related with beauty, love and war. Taking design directions from Iranian influences & folklores, the collection incorporated Persian-Islamic architecture executed in collaboration with drama and color. The collection incorporated intricate silk thread embroideries, interlaced with delicate hand work of exquisite craftsmanship on custom nets, organza, tissue, chiffon and other exclusive surfaces, alongside their in-house hand painted and vintage revival print. The collection featured exclusive one-off cuts, hues and designs with majestic detailing that combine the best elements from the world of art, architecture, and avant-garde. It also featured a menswear range.
Actor Mekaal Zulfiqar, Model and Actress Amna Ilyas and Musicians Ali Sethi and Zeb Bangash participated in the designer’s showcase as celebrity showstoppers.
